Vestax adapted the new version for Traktor Pro so its set up to control 4 FX slots and all 4 decks. They have also added effects routing, filter knobs and dedicated shift knobs, all features that we worked in our VCI-100SE version out of necessity for Traktor Pro. There is now a built in sound card, although its quality is still unknown, so you dont have to purchase any separate gear. The tension adjusting jog wheels look stylish and eliminate the problem of inconsistent spins. You will enjoy larger transport buttons at the bottom, which are the same size as the VCI-300.

One of the appeals of the original VCI-100 was its basic metal construction which came from the experience Vestax had in building solid mixers. This was the first controller that looked like a serious piece of dj gear in a sea of Chinese plastic. The Mk2 version, with its stylish curves, plastic chassis and ground lighting effects certainly has more design appeal but might have reduced its utilitarian attraction. The buttons and faders on our prototype feel really terrible – and not playable at all. It’s not clear if they will be the same on the final production version but everyone that has tried the new controller universally prefers the old style buttons. One tester pretty much summed it up “Why didn’t they just build on the last one? Why didn’t they talk to you about the design?” To be honest, we are not entirely sure. The Mk2 is certainly an improvement in some areas but right now it looks like it’s not in others. In person testing at BPM will confirm if the final production versions have ironed out the early prototype flaws.

ALLEN & HEATH LAUNCHES GROUND-BREAKING NEW DIGITAL DJ MIXER

Allen & Heath has unveiled the Xone:DB4, a ground-breaking fully digital, high performance DJ mixer with a unique Quad FX Core DSP engine, providing 4 FX BPM Loop record engines with channel EQ filters. Other key features are multi-channel USB audio with MIDI, analogue and digital I/O, input source matrix, easy to read OLED display screen, and USB for recalling user set ups.

The heart of the Xone:DB4 is the powerful Quad FX Core DSP engine, enabling each channel to have its own FX bank and BPM detection system, which automatically adjusts all time-related FX and loops to the tempo of the music. There are 5 basic studio quality FX types optimised for DJ use, comprising delays, reverbs, modulators, resonators and damage, plus each FX type has a patch library of different effect variations that can be assigned to the relevant control. Each FX bank has a dedicated expression control and a rotary pot to set the wet/dry level, whilst further effect tweaking can be performed using the global controllers in the FX master section.

In addition to the FX, each channel has a built-in looper, with selectable loop length from 1/64 beat to 4 bars using the rotary encoder. No matter what loop length is selected, the Xone:DB4 will always record the maximum of 4 bars, so the loop can be expanded or shrunk at will. With an intuitive layout similar to the industry standard Xone:92, there are also two filter banks on either side of the main mix channels.

Each music channel can select any of the available stereo audio sources: Analogue Line 1-4 (switchable to Phono on 2 - 3), Digital 1-4, or USB 1-4. Additionally, the Mic/Auxiliary channel can be routed through channel 1 for further processing.

Each music channel has a 3-band EQ that can be configured as standard asymmetric EQ (+6/-25dB), total Kill (+6dB/OFF with a 24dB/octave slope), or reconfigured as a High-Pass/Low-Pass filter system with adjustable resonance. The EQ knobs incorporate an illuminated pointer that changes colour as a visual aid to show which type of equalization has been selected.

There is a Mic/Auxiliary input to the left of the main mixer section, providing 2-band EQ, gain, cue, and mix level. This can also be routed to channel 1 if you wish to add FX to this channel. To the right of the main mixer is the master section, with main mix level, booth level, and headphone monitoring system.

The OLED display is clearly visible even in bright sunlight, and displays each channel FX selection and current BPM, as well as being an easy and intuitive interface for the Menu set up functions. The mixer offers many user defined settings, such as meter mode, BPM range, USB audio routing scheme, display brightness, in addition to the extensive built-in FX library, and these settings can be saved to a USB key for recall on another unit, such as in a fixed club installation.

There is a built-in, multi-channel USB2 soundcard allowing replay and recording from computer-based audio software for 4 stereo sends and 4 stereo returns. All controls (except Mic and Phones level) send MIDI data but the mixer can double up as a MIDI controller via the MIDI shift button, which allows the Loop and FX selection controls to send MIDI data without changing the mixer settings.

The Xone:DB4 has a new stylish, lightweight aluminium chassis designed to make touring with the console easy. Other features include assignable deck starts, crossfader and upfader curve controls, 13-point level metering, digital output, analogue balanced outputs for main mix and booth, and a record output with adjustable level.

"The Xone:DB4 is a truly ground-breaking mixer and by far the most advanced product that we have designed. Every feature has been meticulously researched with a view to offering DJ's ultimate creativity," comments Xone design manager, Andy Rigby-Jones. "Based on the iLive pro-touring FX system, we developed FX algorithms with BPM conscious parameters and tight spectral control, customised to perfectly fit the DJ environment. As the loops and FX are automatically synchronised to the tempo of the song, it is very easy to build some amazing grooves and soundscapes without problems of latency, low fidelity and the general hassle often associated with using software and laptops. The icing on the cake is the flexible input matrix, where any audio source can be selected on any or all of the channels. Different processing can be applied to the same track on separate channels and you can fade between them, or a phrase sampled in the looper of one channel can be added to the mix later in the track. Our digital design team has done an incredible job to ensure that this is one of the most innovative and exciting DJ mix tools to date."

Calling on the services of their contemporary stars, the label offers you a rare, live and intimate show from 2020Soundsystem plus sets from Crazy P Soundsystem, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Julien Chaptal, Simon Baker, and the boss himself, Ralph Lawson, plus dj support from Wolf+Lamb's Jozif, Chris Halliday and Danny Raper.

Although the opportunity to host Beyer was lost in a cloud of ash in April, the most exciting thing to come out of The Advent’s unbelievable replacement performance was the confidence and belief it’s given us to push the musical boundaries away from the expected. For July, we believe we’ve assembled one of the most formidable line-ups of techno (in the truest sense of the word) Sankeys has seen in a long time.

DJ Rush is, to so many of us, the truest of legends. Where as others may have waxed and waned through trends, or morphed and shifted their own take on techno over time, Rush has always stayed true to his individual style of uncompromising, percussion-heavy techno. He smashed the Bloc apart, and why wouldn’t he? Funk, rhythm and kicks that you’ll feel deep, deep down; all laid down with that irrepressible Chicago funk that will have you moving like never before. This will be the very essence of the party, and something that won’t be seen again for a very long time.

And if an event revolves around performance, then in support we have brought the very best. DJ Bone is a true techno pioneer, someone who is described by all his peers as one of the best. One of the greatest musical experiences is to be left in wonder, and whereas others increasingly look to ever advancing technological innovation to shape their sound, Bone has always kept it truly real. Three decks, three records, a mixer and a whole lot of soul - there probably isn’t a DJ out there who can do what this man has been doing for over 15 years.

If you've got an iPad then you really need to take a look at this. It's a whole load of fun!

The 4 deck iPad Traktor control template.

The 4 deck package features all the following screens. You can choose between landscape layouts either with FX XY pads, or without. The latter has larger buttons and controls, better for live gigs. All the XY pads feature a button that let’s you switch FX pad control between Traktor FX knobs 2 & 3 or 3 & 4. There’s also a simple 2 channel mixer, because sometimes you just want to do some simple mixing between decks A and B...

Known issues

-The midi outputs don’t seem to want to work for the ‘shift’ Modifier toggle buttons on the XY Pads. This is only an issue if you jump between pages: it may show as selected on one page but not on the other.

- Midi outputs don’t work for the cross-fader assign buttons (either side of the cross-fader) on the 4 channel portrait page. The inputs to Traktor work fine, you just have to keep an eye on what you are selecting.

Other features

- The controls are programmed for ‘soft takeover’. This stops the faders and dials in Traktor jumping around when you touch the controller screen. Faders, knobs and latching buttons won’t respond to your control until the parameter of the controller matches that of feature in Traktor, but midi feedback to your iPad should keep the controls as they are displayed within Traktor.

- Cue button delay. To avoid accidentally stopping a deck in the middle of a track, the Cue deck transport button needs to be held down for a half second before it responds.

- The mixer and FX designs are colour coded to avoid pages cluttered up with labels.

Since first bursting onto the scene with the now classic album Wide Angle in 1999, the Swansea, Wales-based Hybrid have been known as one of the most forward thinking and technically skilled acts in electronic dance music. Blurring the line between in-studio production and live presentation, Hybrid are one of the few remaining dance acts to perform live with a classic band setup.

Though, much has changed on the road to Hybrid's fourth artist album Disappear Here. Most notable is the addition of Hybrid's third member - singer/ songwriter Charlotte James - to go along with founders Chris Healings and Mike Truman.

Charlotte's impact is marked as Disappear Here is truly an album of real songs and not merely dance beats with vocals on top. It offers a lot more than anything Hybrid has ever previously written and pushes boundaries in every way.

With Disappear Here, Hybrid have managed to create an epic and unique sound which has progressed dramatically from its original dance inception but still retains much of what makes electronic music so exciting. The album features guest vocals from Tim Hutton, drums from Alex Madge and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

What is Mixr?

It's a DJ Mixing application for the iPad. We actually started designing it back in March of 2009.

DJ FX Plugin

The new DJ FX Plugin for Scratch Live gives you complete control with 2 FX units - each with 3 chained effects per unit.

Each effect can be controlled by one Super Knob when in Performance Mode or you can tweak each individual parameter in Advanced Mode. For the most advanced users you can even create your own unique effect sounds by mapping parameters to the Super Knob while in Edit Mode.

To use the new free DJ FX Plugin, go to the Plugins tab on the setup screen, then choose DJ FX Plugin and check enable DJ FX plugin.

When the plugin is enabled, the DJ FX panel button will appear on the main screen next to the Record panel button.

By default the DJ FX panel will open in Performance Mode. When in performance mode, you will have the most efficient control of your FX with one control knob per effect. Press the Advanced Mode button on the right hand side of the DJ FX panel to open Advanced Mode Which allows you to control each individual effect parameter and link and unlink them from the Super Knob.

DJ FX - Performance Mode

You can have up to 3 effects loaded and chained per effect unit at a time. Each effect unit has a Super Knob which controls the amount of each effect.

DJ FX - Advanced Mode

Advanced mode exposes the individual parameters for each effect. Each parameter knob can be controlled with the mouse or can be mapped to a MIDI controller using MIDI learn.

You can also link or unlink a parameter from the Super Knob by pressing the Link Button.

DJ FX - Edit Mode

Super tweak-heads can create macro mappings for each effect by pressing the Edit Button while in Advanced Mode. When in Edit Mode more controls appear which allow you to create and change parameter mappings to the Super Knob.

To map a parameter to the Super Knob:

First unlink the parameter that you want to map to the super knob.
Move the Super Knob to the position that you want the parameter to start mapping from.
Move the Parameter Knob to the position that you want the to be the lowest value of the parameter.
Press the Macro Min Button (-)
Move the Super Knob to the position that you want the parameter to end being controlled from.
Move the Parameter Knob to the position that you want the to be the highest value of the parameter.
Press the Macro Max Button (+)
Link the parameter to the Super Knob by pressing the Link Button.

Now move the Super Knob and you will see the parameter knob move to the range that you just specified.

DJ FX - Sharing Effects

You can share new effects that you have created using Edit Mode with your friends. When you save an effect, it will be saved in the Music\ScratchLive\Effects folder with a .xml file extension. If you give the xml file to your friends and place it in their
Music\ScratchLive\Effects folder, they can use your effect on their computer.

Display Modes

Scratch Live 2.0 gives you 4 different Display Modes to suit your style of performance. The Display Mode buttons are in the top left of the Main Screen. The available display modes are:

Library Mode - Maximizes your library space.
Classic Vertical Mode - Classic 2 deck vertical mode.
Classic Horizontal Mode - Classic 2 deck horizontal mode.
Stack Mode - Decks are stacked on top of each other in a horizontal fashion.

Library Mode

You can toggle between Library Mode and any other Display Mode by pressing the space bar while on the main screen.

Stack Mode

New Stack Mode aligns the waveforms on top of each other, while maximizing waveform space.

The Deck controls can be shown or hidden by pressing the Show Deck Controls Button on the Stack Mode Deck (the button with the small downward facing triangle).

Aux Deck Plugin

The Free Aux Deck plugin for SL 3 users enables you to DJ with 3 decks in Stack Mode.

To use the new free Aux Deck Plugin, go to the Plugins tab on the setup screen, then choose SL 3 Aux Deck Plugin and check enable SL 3 Aux Deck plugin. You will now have 3 decks available when in Stack Mode.

Library Views

You can now choose between 4 different library views which allow for visual browsing with Album Art. The Library View buttons are in the bottom left area of the main screen next to the Add Crate and Add Smart Crate buttons.

The library views available are:

Serato Playlists Plugin for Scratch Live

Serato Playlists allows you to upload your history playlists to your serato.com profile for viewing, sharing and editing. You can also enable the 'Live Playlists' option to share what you are playing online in realtime.

The Serato Playlists plugin and Live Playlists options can be enabled in the Plugins tab on the Setup screen. Once the plugin is enabled, new options will appear in the History panel for uploading your playlists, and for starting and stopping Live Playlist sessions.

Once you have uploaded a History session to your serato.com DJ profile, you can view, edit and choose to share your Playlists from the Playlists tab of your DJ Profile page.

Smart Crates

You can now create Smart Crates which automatically update their contents using keywords from your music library.

To create a smart crate press the Add Smart Crate button in the bottom left corner of the main screen (which has a picture of a blue crate on it).

A popup window will open which will allow you to add the rules to fill your smart crate. Press Add Smart Crate Rule to add a rule for the smart crate to match on. For each rule you can choose a field to match on from the drop down menu.

Advanced File Management

Advanced File Management allows you to move or copy your tracks from and to external drives while keeping them in your library. To move or copy tracks, open the Files panel, then drag and drop tracks, crates or files onto the folder or drive that you wish to move or copy to.

This feature is great for selecting tracks and crates to copy onto an external drive to take to a gig.

New Offline Player

The offline player has been redesigned to offer a compact player ideal for playing music in your library, and for setting up your cue points and loops.

The Deck controls can be shown or hidden in the same way as Stack Mode by pressing the Show Deck Controls Button on the Offline Player (the button with the small downward facing triangle).

Panels Area

Scratch Live Panels (Recording / SP-6 / Hardware / DJ FX / Video-SL) have now been moved out of the Library area. You can now have any of these panels open at the same time as any of the library panels (Browse / Prepare / History).

Plugins Tab

We have added more options to the plugins tab - options for the SP-6, DJ FX, SL 3 Aux Deck, and Video-SL. The SP-6 will be enabled by default - if you wish to turn off the SP-6 Sample Player or any other plugin, you can go into the Plug-ins menu and turn them off to save CPU.

New Recording Panel

The Recording Panel is now a full size panel, and includes full-size stereo level meters for high resolution monitoring.

Additional Changes / Additions:

TTM 57SL

You can now choose to have "No Footswitch" for the TTM 57SL on the Hardware tab of the setup screen. Choosing this will free up screen space on the Hardware panel on the main screen.
Redesigned the TTM 57SL Hardware panel to be more compact and give more library space.

Library / Files

You can now embed album art into your tracks. To do this, drag and drop a jpeg or png file onto the track in the album art view, or onto the 'show album art' window.
Added smooth scrolling of the library on Mac OS X when scrolling with the track-pad or a mighty mouse.
Added library font size and album art size sliders in the library tab of the setup screen.
Scratch Live can now read 48-bit color PNGs for album art
Fixed bug where certain MP3s with a blank genre would show up as "Blues".
Fixed bug where iTunes tracks "Album Artist" tag show as the "Album" tag in Scratch Live.
History sessions now resize better when collapsing and expanding.
Fixed bug where dragging a track on Mac OS X Tiger could cause a large white box to appear and some slowdown.
The 'Year' tag can now be saved in mpeg-4 meta data.
Changed Files panel so you can now scroll to the left/right while dragging an item.
Fixed an MP4 import and track load crash on Mac.
Fixed bug where playlists created in old versions of Scratch Live did not contain correct time zone information.

Playback and Performance

Added a pitch Range button for the Internal Mode Pitch Sliders. Ranges available are: 8%, 10%, 16%, 50% and 100%.
Fixed bug when autoplay would not select a track after reaching the end of a crate. The first track in the crate will now next when reaching the end of a crate.
Fixed high memory usage in the offline player on windows.
Fixed bug where saving a recording would not write tags correctly, possibly causing heavy load on the CPU and drop-outs.
Fixed bug where a larger number of crates could cause high CPU load and possible drop-outs.
Fixed bug when playing a CD, audio buffering could not keep up.
Fixed rare crash that might occur on song load.
Fixed instant doubles not working when 'lock playing deck' option was enabled.
Fixed bug where you couldn't instant double by dragging a track from a deck onto itself.
You now have to drag the mouse for at least 4 pixels when dragging from a Virtual Deck to avoid accidental drag and drops into itself.
Prevented drag-and-drop from one deck to the other activating when Lock playing deck is on and Instant doubles is off.
Removed support for CV-01 control vinyl.

SP-6

Added pitch nudging to the SP-6 pitch bend buttons (Ctrl+Click).
Fixed bug where the SP-6 Mute buttons would cause an audible 'click' on mouse up.
Fixed bug where the SP-6 might not save it's preferences.

MIDI / Hardware Controllers

When in MIDI assign mode, the MIDI assign panel is now an expandable panel that appears below the decks. When opened it hides the current open panel e.g. Video-SL, SP-6, Effects.
You can now choose the Pitch Slider range for MIDI / Hardware Controllers. The ranges available are: 8%, 10%, 16%, 50% and 100%.
Fixed bug where certain relative MIDI controls would be assigned as absolute when loaded from MIDI XML.
The Denon DN-HD2500 and DN-HC4500 controllers now cycle between the available pitch ranges while the range button is held down instead of toggling between 8% and 16%.
Fixed bug where you could not MIDI learn the DN-HC1000S knob to the Library Scroll knob.
Fixed Denon DN-HD2500 and DN-HC4500 track loading in the prepare panel.
Fixed cue lights on Denon DN-HC1000S not updating states correctly when on the setup screen.
Fixed bug where the Denon HC1000S and other MIDI controllers were unable to load songs from history.
Fixed Denon DN-HC4500 cue lights not remaining lit when pressed under some circumstances.
Fixed bug where the DN-HC1000S lights would not always update when switching to the Native channel.
Fixed bug where changing to the Native channel on the DN-HC1000S could open the Files panel.

Running more than one version of Scratch LIVE:

Installing this version will by default overwrite any previous version you had installed, however it is easy to have more than one version of Scratch LIVE installed if you wish.

If you have an important gig coming up, you might like to stick with the version you know until you are comfortable with 2.0.0.
Here's how to do it:

Windows Users - before installing, find the ScratchLIVE executable (by default it is in C:\Program files\Serato\ScratchLIVE, and rename it - for example call it ScratchLIVE 1.9.2.exe. When you install the new version, the old executable will not be deleted, and you can choose which you want to run by going into that folder and double clicking on the executable. You can still do this if you have already installed version 2.0.0 - just rename the executable to ScratchLIVE 2.0.0.exe, and then reinstall the version you were previously running.

Mac users - before installing, rename the existing application file as above (like "Scratch LIVE 1.9.2") - you have to be admin to rename it. (If you aren't admin, you can copy it to another location, and then rename it.)

Backing up your data:
Before you make any changes to your Scratch LIVE setup, including installing a new version, as a general rule we highly recommend that you backup your data and your music files. The easiest way to backup your data is to simply copy your Scratch LIVE folder to another location on the drive:

For the drive that contains "My Documents" (or your Home drive on Mac), just copy the ScratchLIVE folder which is in "My Documents\My Music\" to another location on this drive. Alternatively make a copy of the folder where it already is and rename it by adding the date to the folder name so you know what's in the backup.
To back up the database and crates from an external drive, copy the _ScratchLIVE_ folder (which is in the root of the drive) into another folder on the same drive.

Biography
Carter was born in Compton, California and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. After practising his DJ skills for a number of years in his bedroom (bedroom jock), it was during his teenage years that he made the definitive step into the Chicago house scene.

In 1988, he released an EP with Mark Farina and Chris Nazuka as the group Symbols & Instruments. While the record wasn't a huge commercial success, it did have a strong influence on the burgeoning ambient techno movement in England. This established Derrick as an international figure in the underground house scene.

Later years
Carter rarely gives extensive interviews and has kept a low profile since his rise to fame. He famously ran a record label named Classic Recordings that (as planned ten years before) ceased to exist after its hundredth release. Above all, Derrick is still respected by some as one of the best house music DJs in the world. His dj-sets are firmly rooted in black music of the 1970s, frequently giving nods to old school disco, soul and jazz.

As a remixer, he has worked for a diverse range of artists including The Human League, Ricky Martin, Boris Dlugosch, Modjo, DJ Sneak and Röyksopp. After a brief hiatus, he has recently returned to production, remixing artists like Rosie Brown and Truman Industries.

Carter was recently named #66 in the 100 Most Famous Chicagoans according to a survey (relying mostly on Google hits) by the free weekly newspaper, New City (11/2006), finishing just between syndicated radio show host Tom Joyner(#65) and Chicago Cubs player, Carlos Zambrano(#67). Other house music artists making the cut included Felix da Housecat (#21) and Frankie Knuckles(#48).

Redeveloped, recrafted and entirely redesigned for the start of a new decade, Factory Records infamous central Manchester offices, now The Factory, the city’s premier live music and rock and roll venue marks this coming Easter Sunday, April 4th with a very special event that sees FAC 51 The Haçienda take over The Factory for the first of its Bank Holiday Sunday events, bringing along one of its most famous lead singers performing live and a width of supreme DJ talents.

In an exclusive and special one-off gig, limited to some 400 tickets, Mancunian legend and survivor, Shaun Ryder is to perform a selection of his hits from his seminal groups, Happy Mondays, and Black Grape alongside debuting some of his new solo material. A full live band has been convened to back Shaun at the gig and he is expected to deliver an extraordinary and unique set for those lucky enough to get tickets for this once in a lifetime show.

Following on from Shaun’s performance, the entire three floors of The Factory are thrown over to The Haçienda and with full décor, exquisite lighting and the production values that characterise Haçienda events, The Factory is set to see a classic FAC 51 party to christen its first time at the club.

With capacity expanded after the gig across three floors, a further 600 tickers will be made available for The Haçienda Club event which will see The Haçienda and Factory faithful admitted into the club from 10.30pm for a feast of musical and hedonistic excess which features some of the star DJ names which made the original club so legendary in the first place alongside some newer friends.

In the top floor boardroom, now completely restored to its former glories, balearic honchos Justin Robertson and Jon Carter team up in a Djing double header which will see all manner of influences thrown into their eclectic and thought provoking sets.

On the middle floor, the entire evening will be taken over by the formidable Djing team of Murkage Cartell vs Jay “Backchat” Fontaine.

Meanwhile, the bassment gig floor is turned over to original Haçienda Hot resident and “the don of acid house” Jon Dasilva who will be playing to support Shaun’s performance and also later in the event. Renowned as one of the most inspirational and imaginative DJ’s since his debut at The Haçienda in the late 80’s, John’s muscular beats and tastemaking style make him one of the best DJ practitioners around.

Jon is joined downstairs by 808 State DJ’s, who put together sets that mixes up oldschool classics and the best modern techno in an individualistic style that always remains undoubtedly 808.

rekordbox™, the digital music management software collaboration between Pioneer and MixVibes – the ©iTunes for DJs - is being now being made as a free download to all DJ’s after the successful launch of their new club standard CDJs.

Up until now, rekordbox™ software was only available with a purchase of either the CDJ-900 or CDJ-2000, enabling a host of important functionality, but from 1st May 2010, Pioneer will be making it available as a free download (download link will be communicated on this date on www.pioneerdj.eu). Even without the players at home, DJs can utilize the software to prepare tracks in advance, ready for the CDJ-900s or CDJ-2000s at the club.

Interface layout allows more originality in arranging music
Pioneer has laid out the interface in the centre of the mixer to give intuitive performance. DJs can add arrangements to music by not just rotary control, but via Tap and the new Trace method within the three Effect sections. Evolved BEAT EFFECTS manipulate every frequency and alter sound to the beat
The new DJM-2000 is also equipped with an evolved BEAT EFFECT, a highly acclaimed function of the DJM series. EFFECT FREQUENCY allows the DJ to control the level of effects to add to each frequency band, so an echo can be added just to the vocals, or the hi-hat rhythm can be doubled, providing flexibility to perform like never before. Physical buttons have also been added for selecting effects and beats, making it possible to jump between different measures instantly.

6 INST FX on every channel with rotary control
The DJM-2000 also boasts six kinds of effects (NOISE, HPF, LPF, JET, ZIP & CRUSH), with an HP and LP FILTER knob for each channel. The PARAMETER knob allows for fine-tuning of each effect. Innovative effects such as NOISE (a white noise generator) when combined with new beat effects such as GATE, Slip Roll or Multi-Tap instantly unveil powerful remixing possibilities.

Connect 4 CDJ-900/2000 and 2 rekordbox laptops via ProDJ Link
Pioneer DJ players (CDJ-2000 & CDJ-900) that are compatible with ProDJ LINK and a computer with rekordbox installed can be connected to the mixer via a LAN cable which enables music to be shared across all 4 players from a single source.

Storage
The music files and control data saved on an SD card*2 or USB storage device can be shared and played on up to four CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900 players via this mixer.

Live Sampler

The music files in rekordbox can be monitored on headphones. This allows the DJ to check the song before playing it on a player, thus making it a smooth-flow for selecting and playing a song.

Status Information
The status of each connected channel (On-air *5status, channel number, etc.) is sent to the connected CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900. The colour of the JOG wheel light changes for the current on-air*5 channel, allowing the current status to be checked at a glance during DJ play.

Internal USB Audio/Midi Interface
The mixer is equipped with a USB Audio Interface, which allows the audio signal of music playing on a computer to be inputted to the DJM-2000 via a USB connection with the computer*6. This makes it possible to use a computer, even without an external sound card.
From one computer up to a maximum of four sources of audio signal can be assigned to each channel. It is also possible to output the master output to the computer. This makes it extremely convenient to record the mixed audio.

High-quality Sound Design Achieves Ideal Club Sound
The DJM-2000 uses a balanced output amp and its completely discrete structure allows the sound quality in each bandwidth to be adjusted. Pioneer pursued the ideal club sound by painstakingly creating a sound down to the very details of how sound resonates. By using a high fidelity, balanced hybrid op-amp and a perfectly balanced output circuit in the analogue processing, they achieved a reduction in noise with a dynamic range of 107dB with 0.004%THD, providing a clear, powerful sound.

Isolator EQ on every channel
Equipped with a switching 3-band EQ and 3-band Isolator on each channel the EQ provides control of +6dB to -26dB & the Isolator gives +6dB to -∞dB.

Other Features

2009 has been a busy year for the Detroit Techno Militia. Fresh off their 12 month stateside "Rustbelt Tour", DJ Seoul & T.Linder are set to return to Europe to promote the Detroit sound and their newest label releases on the 2010 "Solidarity Tour". This six week tour will have them performing individually and as the DTM 2x4 that has recently swept through America. Accompanying them on this tour for brief periods will be a founding member of DTM; Neil V., as well as support from the RECON:313 soldiers that are stationed in Europe. The Mercenary (Belgium), Dimitri Pike (Belgium) and Maxx T. (France)

"Solidarity Tour" dates are as follows:

As we are in the beginning stages of booking this tour, we are in negotiations with multiple event organizers in multiple countries. Weekends and Weekday bookings are both available.
